âś…Brentford go head-to-head against West Ham on Saturday. Read our Predictions and Betting Tips with Match Preview, Head-to-head stats (h2h) and Team Form Analysis.

Brentford vs West Ham United

Our prediction for this Premier League match:

Brentford and West Ham United take on each other at Brentford Community Stadium in a highly-anticipated London derby. The Bees aim to recover from a 3-1 loss to Tottenham and they are likely to adopt an attack-oriented strategy against West Ham. Kevin Schade is pushing for a start, while all Nunes, Jensen, Hickey, Thiago, Da Silva, and Henry remain in the recovery room. Midfielder Christian Norgaard should be fit for the local derby.

The Hammers, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to Chelsea. As Julen Lopetegui’s men are desperate to grab something from Saturday’s clash as well, we are tempted to place our bets on both teams to score. Lopetegui has a full squad to choose from except for summer recruit Niclas Fullkrug, who is a major doubt. In their last meeting at the venue Brentford defeated West Ham 3-2.

How the bookies view it: Bees to get their buzz back

Brentford – who have won each of their previous two Premier League home games this season – are 23/20 favourites on 777PUB.

West Ham have collected each of their four Premier League points on their travels this term but the bookies odds suggest they will come away empty-handed here, with a Hammers success trading at 2/1 (777PUB) while a point apiece has been priced up at 13/5 (WJPESO).

Head to head: Not a happy hunting ground for the Hammers

West Ham have crashed to defeat in each of their previous three visits to this venue whilst on Premier League duty.

In fact, the Hammers’ 4-2 win over Brentford at the London Stadium last season is their only top-flight triumph against the Bees in the previous six league meetings between the pair.

Brentford vs West Ham Prediction

Brentford and West Ham will be looking to bounce back from defeats to fellow city rivals Tottenham and Chelsea respectively.

They take on each other in Gameweek No 6 on Saturday afternoon at Gtech Community Stadium.

The Bees got off to a perfect start to the clash against Spurs away from home last weekend when Bryan Mbeumo pushed them in front.

However, Tottenham proved to have too much for them with three goals that followed, marking the third defeat in the last four league fixtures for Thomas Frank and his troops.

The Bees will have a nice chance to rebound here against West Ham who have not been pulling up any trees of late.

The Hammers picked up only a single point in the previous three league games. Their back line was non-existent in a 0-3 defeat to Chelsea last Saturday.

Julen Lopetegui generally has huge problems with the lack of meticulousness in his team’s back line. Can he fix the obvious holes ahead of the clash at Gtech Community Stadium?

Both outfits have been playing attacking-minded football while being vulnerable at the back so far in the season.

We have plenty of reasons to expect a high-scoring scenario on Saturday at Gtech Community Stadium.

Each of Brentford’s last four games across competitions saw the Over 2.5 goals FT & Both Teams To Score option coming in.

West Ham shipped seven goals in the previous three Premier League ties, including three in the last weekend’s home defeat to Chelsea.

We’ve also seen at least five goals in each of the last season’s two H2H affairs between these rivals.

Over 3.5 goals FT is the way to go at the 2.62 odds. You can get the same odds for Bryan Mbeumo to score anytime for the hosts.

Mbeumo is the main man at Brentford following Ivan Toney’s departure and Yoanne Wissa’s injury. The Cameroonian has four goals to his name in five Premier League fixtures and he was on target last weekend at Spurs.

Players to watch: Mbeumo to make his mark again?

Bryan Mbeumo took his tally for the season to four last week when opening the scoring against Spurs. The Brentford ace looks worth supporting here for either a goal or an assist at 4/5 on PHMACAO.

Carlos Soler has been carded in each of his two Premier League appearances for West Ham and he looks overpriced at 11/2 (JILIPARK) to tackle his way into trouble again this weekend.

Predicted line-ups

Christian Norgaard missed the Bees’ 3-1 defeat at Tottenham last weekend with a minor injury but Brentford boss Frank is confident that his captain will be back to lead the team on Saturday.

West Ham’s Edson Alvarez is suspended for Saturday’s trip across the capital following his red card against Liverpool on Wednesday night.

Brentford: Flekken; Ajer, Collins, Pinnock, Van den Berg, Lewis-Potter; Janelt, Norgaard; Carvalho; Mbeumo, Schade

West Ham: Areola; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Kilman, Emerson; Soucek, Soler; Kudus, Paqueta, Summerville; Bowen
